Review of mechanism analysis and synthesis through inversion. Design of parallel guidance systems, coupler curves with symmetry, cusps and crossings. Curvature theory, Euler-Savary Equations and applications. Homogenous coordinate representation of curves, coupler curves analysis and systhesis. Kinematic of spatial mechanisms, DH representation. Four points synthesis methods, circle and center point curves, branch and order defect rectification. Compliant implementation of mechanism designs: short cantilever and long cantilever designs, folded sheet flexures and hole-hinges based implementation.
